He studied with Fabrizio Garilli at the Conservatory “G. Verdi” of Milan, graduating in 1988 at the Conservatory “G. Rossini” in Pesaro with the highest grades, honors and special mention.Considered “Child Prodigy” with excellent communication skills ,at the age of 12 years he played the part of Giuseppe Verdi in the television drama film directed by Renato Castellani; at 14 years old he made his debut with the orchestra of the “Angelicum” of Milan and, at 16 in the SALA VERDI with Liszt’s Hungarian Fantasy directed by Vittorio Parisi. In the same year he won the first prize in the Chamber music competition in Corsico with Fabrizio Meloni. At 17 years his performance of Liszt’s Totentanz in SALA VERDI with the orchestra of the RADIOTELEVISION in Milan is greeted by 15 minutes of applause and rave.In 1986 gets, with the highest grades, Diploma di Alto Perfezionamento Pianistico at the Accademia Musicale Pescarese under the guidance of Michele Marvulli and follows the conducting courses taught by the great Mario Gusella has held recitals and concerts with orchestras in prestigious Italian and foreign theatres such as: SALA VERDI (Milan), ARTS ACADEMY (Roma), AUDITORIUM RAI (Turin), TEATRO GRANDE, Brescia, TEATRO PONCHIELLI (Cremona), TEATRO MUNICIPALE (Piacenza) TEATRO ARGENTINA, Rome, TEATRO BRANCACCIO (Rome) TEATRO POLITEAMA and TEATRO PAISIELLO (Lecce) TEATRO GIORDANO (Foggia), TEATRO VALLI (Reggio Emilia), TEATRO FILARMONICO (Verona), HOFBURG and BOSENDORFER SAAL (Vienna) SALLE MAISONNEUVE (Montreal), STEINWAY HALL and ALICE TULLY HALL (New York), SMETANA HALL (Prague), SALLE CORTOT (Paris) SUNPORT HALL (Takamatsu, Japan). He has participated in approximately 150 national and international competitions always finishing near the top, among the most important are: the 1° prize at the ‘ Neglia “of ENNA, 3° prize at the” Viotti “of VERCELLI, the 1° prize at the” Chopin “in Rome, the 1° Prize to LAMEZIA TERME, the 1° prize at the” Lions “in VIENNA, the 1° prize at the” M.P.Monopoli “of BARLETTA, the 1° prize at the ‘ Città di SULMONA “, 1° prize at the” SPERANZA “of TARANTO, the 1° prize at the” Benedetto XIII” and the 1° Prize and” audience award “at “CITTA’ DI CANTU’”.
He appeared as a soloist with various orchestras such as: “Angelicum”, “Pomeriggi Musicali” and “RAI” in Milan, “Filarmonica Marchigiana, Sinfonica di Bari”, “t. Schipa” Symphony of Lecce, “Orchestra of the Magna Greece” in Taranto, “Orchestra della Radiotelevisione” in Ljubljana, “Dvorak Prague” Symphony Orchestra “,” Sinfonica di Bacau “,” Plojest “Symphony,” Craiova “Symphony, under the direction of famous conductors such as: M. Marvulli, M. Pradella, A. Nanut, E. Boncompagni, O. Balan, M. Beroff, P. Mianiti.In 2001 he delivered the cup of the President of the Italian Republic for her artistic careear.Also active as a chamber musician has many times performed in quintet with the “SOLISTI DEL TEATRO ALLA SCALA” of Milan and in duo with violinists Kaori Ogasawara and Franco Mezzena with whom he performed a concert broadcast live by radio RAI3 Pauline Chapel of the Palazzo del QUIRINALE.
Eclectic musician joins the soloist to composer of  hemself paraphrase, tracing the pianistic tradition of 800, as well as accompanist collaborating regularly with wellknown soprano KATIA RICCIARELLI.
Roberto Corliano’ is often invited in juries of national and international competitions and masterclasses in Italy and abroad.
He is Professor of Piano at the Conservatory “T. Schipa” in Lecce.
