He has started his career as “Conte di Ceprano” in Rigoletto of G.Verdi.
In 1998 he made one’s debut as “Dulcamara” in Elixir of Love by G.Donizetti, and later as “Maestro di Cappella” in the opera “Prima la Musica poi le parole” di A.Salieri.
Later he enacted” Don Pasquale” in the homonymous opera and “Don Basilio” in “Il Barbiere di Siviglia”, in a tournée in many Italian cities.
In December 2003 he interpreted the role of “Doc.Grenvil”, in a new production of “ La Traviata” by “Teatro Argentina” of Rome by the side of artists as A.Gheorghiu and A.Maestri.
Later he has sung “La serva padrona” by Pergolesi in many theatres of the north of Italy, in Austria and Germany.
In 2004 he interpreted both “Don Profondo” and “Don Prudenzio” in “Il viaggio a Remis” di G.Rossini, under the direction of N.Kabaretti, in a summer production of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, by Giardino di Boboli’s Arena in Florence.
In October 2006 during the official season of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino he personated the official role of “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” , directed by R.Abbado, producer C.Plaza, D.Barcellona, R.Frontali and A.Corbelli.
In 2007 in Arezzo, he made one’s debut as “Don Giovanni” in the homonymous opera of W.A.Mozart.
During the 2009 season he passed definitely to a baritone register, acting as Barone Scarpia in “Tosca” of Puccini, that has been a great success.
In 2010 he partecipated to the opening of 73rd Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, interpreting a short but intense role, “Waechter der Stadt” of the opera “Die Frau ohne Schatten” of Richard Strauss, directed by Zubin Mehta.
After 2010 he started to collect a many different roles such as: Germont in Traviata and Jago in Otello, by Verdi. Puccini’s roles are: Sharpless (Butterfly), Guglielmo Wulf (Le Villi), Jack Rance (Fanciulla del West); Alfio in Cavalleria Rusticana by Mascagni, Gerard in Andrea Chenier of Giordano and Escamillo in Carmen by Bizet.
He has been always interest in the holy music, as solist he interpreted: “Messiah” of G.F. Handel, “Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda” of Monteverdi, “Historia der Geburt Jesu Christi” of H.Schutz, “Requiem” of G.Verdi, W.A.Mozart, G.Faurè, Johannes Passion BWV 245 of Bach.
He has recorded CD of baroque music for the following record companies: Tactus, Dynamic and Experia.
He is also an active artist in the Lieder field, prefering operas of Brahms, Mahler, Wolf and Tchaikovsky, and other anglo-saxon artists as Vaughan, Willias, Finzi, Butterworth, Quilter and Gurney.
