Born December 13th 1993 in Yessentuki, Russia, young soprano Vasilisa Berzhanskaya graduated from the vocal department of Stavropol Territorial Musical College (STMC) named after V. I. Safonov.
Currently she is a student at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music (Prof. R. Lisitsian) and a soloist of the Academy’s Opera Studio.
In the 2011/12 season Vasilisa Berzhanskaya was soloist of the North-Caucasian State Philharmonic.
Since 2014, she is a guest soloist at the State Primorsky Opera and Ballet Theater in Vladivostok.
Her operatic repertoire comprises Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte (Teatre Alegria, Barcelona), Musetta in La Bohème (Academy Opera Studio), Micaëla and Frasquita in Carmen (Vladivostok), and the title role in Massenet’s Thaïs (Vladivostok and Mariinsky Theatre St Petersburg in concert) among others.
Recent and upcoming engagements include the role of Swan Princess in The tale of Tzar Saltan in Vladivostok, the soprano part in Mozart’s Coronation Mass at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow as well as her participation at the 2015 International Musical Olympus Festival in St Petersburg and at the Carnegie Hall, New York.
She has performed with conductors such as: Vladimir Fedoseyev, Fabio Mastrangelo, Eugene Bushkov, Felix Korobov, Alexei Utkin, Peter Feranec, Anton Lubchenko, Dmitry Sinkevich, Sergei Kondrashev, Zaurbek Gugkaev.
Since 2014 has been a guest soloist with the Primorsky State Opera and Ballet Theatre, the city of Vladivostok.
She has performed in such venues as the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Chamber Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Carnegie Hall , Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Beethoven Hall of the Bolshoi Theater, the Great Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Chamber Hall of the Moscow House of Music ect…
