Virtuoso Günther Sanin, a violinist with a classical background, has enjoyed an extremely high-level career both as a soloist and as  an orchestra violinist, skilfully shifting his talents between Viennese café music, gypsy swing and Argentinean tango. Amongst the  many notable musicians he has worked with are Milva, Franco Battiato, Astor Piazzolla, Lucio Dalla and Luis Bacalov. As a humble and insatiable musician, he has supplemented the “full marks” gained in his degrees in viola and violin with Maestro Walter Daga at the F. A. Dell’Abaco Conservatoire, with further specialisation courses with just one purpose in mind: excellence. Apart from soloist concerts, his career has included recordings, television appearances and international performances in places as far apart as Japan, the Middle East and the United States. He has played with European orchestras of the highest level, including Milan’s La Scala and the Philharmonia Wien, working with musical giants such as Muti, Domingo, Carreras, Pavarotti, Bocelli, Cecilia Gasdia, Katia Ricciarelli and many others besides. He is currently leader of the orchestra with the Arena di Verona Foundation Orchestra. He has won numerous national and international competitions (Bolzano Haydn Orchestra, Florence Community Theatre, Parma Regio Theatre, the Bologna Community Theatre, the Stresa International Competition, Milan’s La Scala Theatre, Arena di Verona Opera Organisation and the Swiss-Italian Orchestra Foundation). He has perfected his technique by following numerous specialisation courses (with Tibor Varga in Sion and Valentia, F. Gulli at La Chigiana in Siena, S. Accardo in Cremona and with D. Schwarzenberg at the Romano Romanini Academy in Brescia). Sanin has performed with various orchestras for concerts, recordings and tours, including: Nuova Orchestra Italiana, Archi della Scala, Orchestra da Camera di Mantova, Cameristi Lombardi, I Filarmonici di Verona, Virtuosi Italiani, Streicherakademie Bozen, Orchestra Svizzera Italiana, Haydn-Orchester Bolzano, with which he still plays as Leader of the Orchestra, and the Philharmonia Wien. He currently holds the position of Leader of the Orchestra with the Arena di Verona Orchestra Foundation.
